Preparations
After
the decision for a sporterized version was taken, it was at the time to
organize the necessary materials and tools. I bought a belt saw. With this
tool I could cut out the rough form in a short time. Different kinds of
carving knife and other tools were bought as well.
I had a number of carving knifes, which the blades had a gage between eight and 35 millimeters. When I had built my first electric guitar at that time, I used a Dremel tool www.dremel.com/html/home_fr.html. With this it was possible to mill the small recesses very easily. By the way – our balcony was used as the place to work on the stock. After the end of a workday I worked for two or three hours on the project.
