Hunting in Africa

Thoughts about hunting in Africa

A few years ago I had some ideas once I should go for a Hunt in Africa. But the initial trigger to do it was the last year. Because of my study and diploma I invest all my vacations into the study and preparations for the final examination. During this time I had to suffer a lot of hunting fever. My wife she helped me with everything. And in appreciation of here help I successfully passed the final examination. For that reason we decided that our honeymoon trip would be in Namibia.

During the winter while looking in the Internet for some interesting places in Africa I found a nice address in Namibia. So I got in contact with the farmer in Namibia. The Hunting farm "Otjiruse", translated from the native Herero language, means 'The Place of Trees'. The farm is situated 55 km west of Okahandja along the Sney River with some of the largest Ana trees in Namibia. I sent an email to Frank and Gudrun to get in contact. My list about what I would like to hunt was set up very fast. First of all I would like to take an Oryx, one Kudu, one Impala and maybe one Warthog. My wife agreed to the list as well. She is not hunting at the moment, but she is well known while using the rifle. Meanwhile she is as good as me in using the rifle
